With our business unit EMG Connectivity, we work as the global market leader on more than 1,500 RF events a year, including the world’s most renowned sports events and entertainment shows.

EMG Connectivity combines the services of Eurolinx Belgium and the Netherlands, Broadcast RF (UK) and the RF services of EMG France.

EMG Connectivity Services is market leader in the field of satellite news gathering (SNG). That is no coincidence: our success is based on reliable equipment and enthusiastic technicians. Apart from satellite connections, we also offer fibreoptic, IP, WMT, and RF connections.

We’ll advise you on the best solution for each production. We do this for live television, of course, but also for webinars and online events or product presentations. For these, our multicam uplinks are highly suitable; we can make compact recordings with up to six cameras, including everything you need. From slow-motion machines and graphics to sound and connections. Furthermore, we are available 24/7.

RF Wireless Technology and Services

More and more often, television recordings of sports, news and events are made using wireless cameras. ‘Not being attached to wires’ allows camera operators much more manoeuvrability and freedom. It allows them to respond more quickly and get better shots. EMG has a number of wireless sets, the so-called ‘RF sets’.

Radio frequency (RF) technology allows you to wirelessly connect a camera to for instance an OB van, while maintaining the functionality of a system camera, like shading and a tally light. Together with our London-based sister company Broadcast RF and our experienced RF technicians, our department now offers its own RF solutions.

EMG is responsible for producing large-scale events, like the Tour de France, as well as several of the largest sports events in the world where RF is used. This equipment is of course always geared to the task at hand and the needs of our clients, with 24/7 technical support.

Workflows & Live Centre

We develop and design complete workflows, from recording and storage to editing and distribution. We can arrange all these things on location. However, if the local infrastructure is insufficient, we can always find a different solution. For instance, by sending the recordings to our own Live Centre in Hilversum and distributing them from there. With every job we pay a lot of attention to what the client wants to achieve so we can suggest the best solution. This means that all workflows we develop are customized.

We also have access to an extensive fibre network. This network covers all of our studios and a large number of clients. At the heart of this network is our Live Centre. From here, every day dozens of connections are made to and from the different partners that are connected to this media network. Via EMG we are also directly connected to our sister companies in all European countries as well as our partner worldwide.
