EMG processes personal data. We would like to inform you clearly and transparently about this.

In this privacy statement, we (EMG Netherlands) would like to provide you with answers to the most important questions about the processing of personal data. We use certain words in this privacy statement, with which we mean:

  • Personal data: data that say something about you directly or indirectly. For example your name and email address.
  • Processing: everything that can be done with personal data. For example, the collection, but also the storage, use and removal of your data from our administration.

DATA COLLECTION

In accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR, the Privacy Act), EMG is the "controller" for the processing of the personal data.

We store and use all personal data that you provide in accordance with the legal requirements. The data we may collect and subsequently process includes:

  • information you provide by filling in the forms on one of EMG's websites;
  • information you provide in uploading documents on one of EMG's websites;
  • information you share with us via social media;
  • information you provide for application purposes;
  • data that you share for the purchase or provision of services;
  • information you share with us to gain access to our locations;
  • images from security cameras at our locations.

We only process your personal data on the basis of a basis, such as on the basis of:

  • your consent
  • our contract
  • our legitimate interest
  • our legal obligation

WHOSE PERSONAL DATA DOES EMG PROCESS?

We process personal data of people with whom we have, want to have or have had a direct or indirect relationship. These are, for example, personal data of:

  • customers, suppliers and their representatives;
  • people who show interest in our products and services;
  • people who are affiliated with a company or organization with which we have, want to have or have had a relationship;
  • people who visit us, including customers, suppliers and employees, at our studio locations and headquarters.

THE USE OF THE DATA

Data can be used for the following purposes:

  • analysis of statistics;
  • system testing, maintenance and development;
  • maintain relationships;
  • to supply or purchase products and services;
  • to help us with future interactions, for example by identifying your needs and preferences;
  • promotional or marketing purposes. For example, to inform you about a new product that may be of interest to you. Or to better respond to your wishes. Do you not want to be approached for commercial purposes? Then you can make this known to us;
  • to process your application and to share your data with the vacancy holder;
  • to adapt and improve our processes;
  • securing our studio locations and head office, to grant you physical access and identify you if necessary.

We do not collect more personal data than necessary for the above purposes.

PERMISSION

By using our services, including our website, you agree that your data will be collected and used for the purposes described above.

HOW DOES EMG PROTECT YOUR PERSONAL DATA?

  • EMG will process your Personal Data in a proper and careful manner and in accordance with the law';
  • EMG requires you to enter data marked with an asterisk (*). It is not mandatory to fill in the data without an asterisk (*);
  • EMG will take appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your Personal Data against loss or against any form of unlawful processing;
  • EMG does not store your personal data longer than needed.

HOW LONG DO WE SAVE YOUR DATA?

Your personal data will be kept for as long as necessary for the purposes for which it was collected. This also includes the retention of personal data after the end of a relationship such as employment, for example to resolve any disputes and/or to comply with our legal obligations.

THIRD PARTIES AND TRANSFERS OUTSIDE THE EU

EMG sometimes uses the services of third parties for the processing of personal data, for example in the form of a shipping service, a CRM package and a digital signing tool. To guarantee your privacy, we make appropriate agreements with third parties and, if necessary, take additional protection measures.

These third parties are mainly located within the European Union or the European Economic Area (EU/EEA). Where services outside the EU/EEA are used, extra attention is paid to an adequate level of protection with the European Adequacy Decision, the Data Privacy Framework and technical measures.

HOW DO WE HANDLE YOUR APPLICATION?

By applying for a job at EMG, you agree that your personal data will be processed in our database. Your information will be treated confidentially by us and used exclusively for recruitment and selection purposes. Applicant data will be deleted no later than 4 weeks after the application procedure has ended.

We may ask you for permission to keep your data longer, for example because a suitable position may be available at a later date. We use a retention period of up to 1 year after the application procedure has ended.

SOCIAL MEDIA PLUG-INS

You can choose to make your data public via social media. Social media plug-ins (including plug-ins provided by Facebook, Twitter, Google, etc.) allow you to share information on these platforms.

Social media plug-ins and applications are controlled by the respective social networks and are subject to their own terms of use and privacy policies.

ARE YOU A MINOR?

Minors responding to job postings, internships or events must have parental or legal guardian consent.

HOW FAR DOES EMG'S RESPONSIBILITY REACH?

This privacy statement relates to personal data that we process within our services, including those that are obtained by visiting our websites or locations. Our websites may contain links to third party websites.

EMG does not accept any responsibility or liability for (the operation and/or content of) websites or services of third parties.

NOTA BENE

If your company or organization passes on personal data of employees to us, you are obliged to inform your employees about this. You can give this privacy statement to them. Your employees can then see how we handle their personal data.

WHAT ARE YOUR RIGHTS?

Under data protection laws and regulations, you have the right to:

  • access: you have the right to know whether we hold personal data about you. You can request a copy of the personal data we hold about you, along with other information about how we process it;
  • rectification: you can request a correction of inaccurate data;
  • erase: you can request the deletion of your personal data;
  • restriction: you have the right to ask us to restrict our use of your personal data in certain circumstances, for example while we are investigating a complaint and the data we hold about you is incorrect;
  • portability: you have the right to receive a copy or have a copy sent to another company of personal data you have provided to us;
  • objection: you can object to the use of your personal data for certain purposes (e.g. direct marketing purposes).

You can also withdraw any consent you have given regarding the processing of your data at any time. And you have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority if you believe your rights have been violated.
